Teen Mom is an American reality television series that premiered on MTV in 2009. A spin-off of 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom follows the then moms-to-be Maci, Amber, Farrah and Catelynn as they face the challenges of motherhood. The focus of this series is to shine some light on the challenges of teenage parenthood such as marriage, relationships, family support, adoption, finances, graduating high school, starting college, getting a job and the daunting and exciting step of moving out to create their own families.
Teen Mom 2 is an American television series which follows the lives of Jenelle, Chelsea, Kailyn and Leah from the second season of 16 and Pregnant. In addition to being mothers, the series focuses on their changing relationships between family, friends and boys, while highlighting the struggles that teenage mothers have to go through to raise their children.

MY FAVOURITE AND LEAST FAVOURITE TEEN MOMS Every Tuesday night when I am about to sit down and change the channel to MTV, my father will ask me, "Teen Mom? Why do you like to watch that show? It's so stupid!" and my response always seems to be a shrug of the shoulders. To be quite honest I am not too sure if it is the adorable babies or the drama that keeps me coming back, but there is one thing I can tell you and that is that the show is entertaining! I have watched all these girls mature and grow into mother's since they were first on 16 and Pregnant, and let me tell you, some girls were definitely more prepared to grow up much quicker than others.
My favourite mother and baby duo from Teen Mom would have to be Maci and her son Bentley. Maci understood that she could no longer act like a teenager and quickly came to terms with the responsibilities that come with being a mother. I admire her greatly for this since some adults even find it difficult to accept the fact that they are parents. Maci shows that she genuinely cares about her son by putting his needs first which is what I love about her. Oh and not to mention, Bentley always manages to put a smile on my face each and every episode.
My least favourite mother from Teen Mom 2 would have to be Jenelle. She frustrates me so much that I have even caught myself yelling at the television a few times. I believe that Jenelle is not fit to be a mother and needs to do some serious maturing and growing up. Jenelle needs to focus more of her time and efforts on her son, Jace, and less time getting in trouble.
